In pursuit of a more expansive sound in the live environment we recruited a new bassist into The Citizens ahead of the Soundsgood studio launch. Dan Stoner has been a close friend of the band for several years and with Rob only ever meaning to fulfill bass responsibilities as a temporary measure the increase to a five piece from a four piece has allowed Rob to return to his favoured guitar duties and The Citizens to translate more of our recorded sound into the live domain.
Dan is an exceptional bassist and has already made a really positive input into the writing of new material which we will be showcasing at our next gig but more importantly he fits The Citizens mould which has made his arrival a really smooth transition and means that band practice becomes even more a 5 man strong mickey taking session for all involved.
